이 책을 알게 된 계기는 제가 출퇴근 전철안에서 읽고 있는 책 ‘Take the stairs’ 에서 소개되고 있어서 주문해서 읽게 된 것입니다. 요즘 3번째 읽고 있습니다.
이 책의 포인트는 위에 소개한 골프토너먼트의 예에서 처럼 우승자와 2등과의 차이는 하루당 1타차도 안 될 정도로 작다 다는 것이죠. 하지만, 우승 상금은 우승자가 2등보다 78퍼센트나 더 가져간다는 것입니다. 즉, 우리의 작은 노력 하나하나가
큰 차이를 만든다는 것이죠. 평소의 작은 노력 하나하나를 꾸준히 해 가는 것이 보통 사람과는 다른 아주 큰 성과/차이를만들어 내게 된다는 것이죠.
차이는 작지만, 그 결과는 아주 다르다는 것을 다음과 같이 구체적인 숫자로 예를 들고 있습니다.
