하얀 치아를 드러내며 어색하게 웃고 있는 이 사진은 놀랍게도 원숭이가 직접 찍은 ‘셀카’이다. 그들은 사진 작가의 카메라를 훔쳐 수백 장의 사진을 찍었다. 사진은 미국 셀카 박물관(Selfie Museum of America)에 전시되기도 했지만 원숭이에게 도움이 된 것은 아무 것도 없었다. 동물보호단체가 수익금을 원숭이들에게 나눠달라는 소송을 제기했다. 동물은 저작권을 가질 수 없다는 판결을 받았다.
